On reaching inside through the smaller tube, this high-pressure liquid refrigerant moves into an expansion device which reduces its pressure drastically causing it click to explore evaporate rapidly and absorb heat from indoor air passing over the evaporator coils. This cools down your interior spaces effectively.

The larger suction line then carries back this now low-pressure gaseous refrigerant back outside to be compressed again by your compressor into a high-pressure gas before moving into your condenser coils where it releases its heat outdoors and gets condensed once more into a high-pressure liquid ready to repeat this cycle all over again.

This continuous circulation of refrigerants between outdoor and indoor units via these lines is what enables HVAC systems to regulate temperatures within our homes or offices irrespective of external weather conditions.

The impact of these lines on HVAC systems cannot be overstated. First off, they determine how efficiently your system operates since any leaks can lead to loss of refrigerants resulting in decreased performance or even damage to other components like compressors due to overheating.
